INFORMATION

DO YOU OFFER AN INITIAL MEETING FREE OF CHARGE? Yes! I feel it is important for us to have a chance to get a sense of each other and if we are the right fit. I can offer virtual or in person 20 minute introductory meetings to prospective clients / parents of clients.

WHAT ARE THE ASSESSMENT / SESSION FEES? For ages 15 years and under, I charge an assessment fee of £150 which includes an 60 minute intake meeting with parents, followed by a 50 minute introductory meeting with the child / young person. For ages 16+ the assessment is carried out over the course of our first sessions together. Session fees start from £65 per 50 minute session and increase to £70 for peak time sessions (3.30pm-6.30pm). (my fee's are subject to yearly review and change at the start of each new financial year)

WHAT WILL THE FIRST SESSION BE LIKE? For children and young people under the age of 15 years, the first session will be an intake meeting with parents, where I will gather as much information as possible, to support my understanding of the client's needs. From there we will plan our first session with the child / young person and if it feels right from there, we will book in an ongoing day and time for our sessions. For all other ages (16+), the first session will be an intake session with yourself, and if you choose to continue from here, we will plan a regular time for us to meet each week.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED? I can offer both short-term and long-term therapy. It is often difficult to predict the number of sessions that an individual will need when starting therapy, however I appreciate that not everyone has the budget for open-ended therapy sessions. If budget is a concern for you then please discuss this in our initial meeting. For short-term therapeutic work I suggest a minimum of 12 sessions (4 sessions to build the therapeutic relationship and 8 to tackle the concern and have a planned for ending of the process).
