INFORMATION
DO YOU OFFER AN INITIAL MEETING FREE OF CHARGE? Yes! I feel it is important for us to have a chance to get a sense of each other and if we are the right fit. I can offer virtual or in person 20 minute introductory meetings to prospective clients / parents of clients.
WHAT ARE THE ASSESSMENT / SESSION FEES? For ages 15 years and under, I charge an assessment fee of £150 which includes an 60 minute intake meeting with parents, followed by a 50 minute introductory meeting with the child / young person. For ages 16+ the assessment is carried out over the course of our first sessions together. Session fees start from £65 per 50 minute session and increase to £70 for peak time sessions (3.30pm-6.30pm).
WHAT WILL THE FIRST SESSION BE LIKE? For children and young people under the age of 15 years, the first session will be an intake meeting with parents, where I will gather as much information as possible, to support my understanding of the client's needs. From there we will plan our first session with the child / young person and if it feels right from there, we will book in an ongoing day and time for our sessions. For all other ages (16+), the first session will be an intake session with yourself, and if you choose to continue from here, we will plan a regular time for us to meet each week.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED? I can offer both short-term and long-term therapy. It is often difficult to predict the number of sessions that an individual will need when starting therapy, however I appreciate that not everyone has the budget for open-ended therapy sessions. If budget is a concern for you then please discuss this in our initial meeting. For short-term therapeutic work I suggest a minimum of 12 sessions (4 sessions to build the therapeutic relationship and 8 to tackle the concern and have a planned for ending of the process).
